Dollywood
The anchor attraction of the whole area, and still worth it — a genuine mix of thrill rides, live music, and Appalachian craft demonstrations that plays well across every age in a group. Plan for a full day.
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
A surprisingly excellent aquarium for a mountain town, with a glass tunnel through a shark tank that’s a guaranteed hit with kids. A good rainy-day backup plan if the weather turns.
The Island in Pigeon Forge
An open-air entertainment district built around a 200-foot observation wheel, with dozens of shops, restaurants, and a nightly water-and-light fountain show. Easy to walk to dinner and an evening activity in one stop.
Anakeesta
A chondola ride up into the mountains above downtown Gatlinburg, with a treetop canopy walk, a dedicated kids’ treehouse village, and genuinely good views over the Smokies without a real hike required.
New for 2026
Two new additions worth knowing about: Sweets and Play, a large candy shop and arcade that opened in Pigeon Forge this spring, and Slick City Action Park, an indoor slide-and-air-court park — both good options for an afternoon that doesn’t depend on the weather.
All of these sit within a short drive of Sevierville, where Bright Sky Lodges’ cabins give your group a quiet home base to come back to at the end of a full day on the Parkway.
